Argentina Duck Hunting Trips

World-Class Duck Hunting in Argentina with UWC Adventures

Argentina has earned a worldwide reputation as one of the best duck hunting destinations on the planet. With vast wetlands, agricultural fields, and massive populations of resident and migratory waterfowl, Argentina offers traveling hunters an incredible opportunity to experience high-volume shooting and unforgettable hunts.

UWC Adventures has partnered with one of Argentina’s premier waterfowl outfitters to deliver a first-class Argentina duck hunting experience that combines exceptional hunting, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding cuisine.

Whether you are pursuing new species for the Ultimate Waterfowlers Challenge, or simply want to experience one of the most exciting waterfowl hunts in the world, Argentina should be at the top of your list.

Why Argentina Is One of the Best Duck Hunting Destinations in the World

Argentina’s central wetlands and agricultural regions provide perfect habitat for waterfowl. Large expanses of shallow marshes, flooded pastures, and grain fields attract enormous numbers of ducks throughout the winter months.

Unlike many other parts of the world, Argentina maintains healthy populations of resident ducks, meaning hunters can experience consistent action throughout the season.

Many hunters are amazed by the sheer volume of birds and the diversity of species available during a typical Argentina duck hunt.

Duck Species in Argentina

Argentina offers an incredible variety of duck species rarely encountered elsewhere. Hunters can pursue several unique South American waterfowl species during their trip.

Common species include:

  • Rosy-Billed Pochard

  • Yellow-Billed Pintail

  • Silver Teal

  • Red Shoveler

  • Speckled Teal

  • White-Cheeked Pintail

These species provide an exciting challenge and the opportunity for traveling hunters to add several new birds to their waterfowl collection.

Argentina Duck Hunting Season

The prime Argentina duck hunting season runs from May through  July, when cooler winter temperatures concentrate large numbers of waterfowl in the region’s wetlands and agricultural areas.

During this time hunters can expect:

  • Large concentrations of ducks

  • Excellent decoy shooting opportunities

  • Multiple species on most hunts

  • Consistent daily action

Morning hunts typically begin shortly after sunrise, when ducks move from roosting areas to feeding locations.

The Argentina Duck Hunting Experience

A typical day of duck hunting in Argentina begins early as hunters travel to carefully selected marshes or flooded fields. Guides set large decoy spreads designed to attract passing flocks of ducks throughout the morning.

Hunters can expect:

  • Professional local guides

  • Comfortable blinds

  • Large decoy spreads

  • Exciting decoying action

The shooting can be fast-paced, with multiple species working into the decoys throughout the morning.

Many hunters consider Argentina to offer some of the most exciting waterfowl hunting anywhere in the world.

Accommodations and Argentine Hospitality

After a great day in the marsh, hunters return to a comfortable lodge where they can relax and enjoy traditional Argentine hospitality.

Guests can expect:

  • Comfortable lodge accommodations

  • Excellent Argentine cuisine

  • Fine wines and local specialties

  • Friendly and attentive staff

Meals are a highlight of the trip, often featuring traditional Argentine dishes and locally prepared game.
