Saskatchewan is widely recognized for having some of the most liberal sandhill crane limits in North America, and this hunt places you right in the heart of prime crane and upland bird country. In addition to cranes and upland birds, hunters often have opportunities to take additional species depending on migration and conditions.

All hunters are responsible for purchasing the required licenses and stamps prior to the hunt.
For this hunt with Randy Drago’s Codfather Charters, hunters must purchase the following:
Massachusetts Hunting License
Hunters must purchase a Massachusetts Non-Resident Hunting License and the Massachusetts Waterfowl Stamp.
Licenses can be purchased online through the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife (MassWildlife) website:

Hunters will also need to complete the HIP (Harvest Information Program) survey during the licensing process.
Federal Duck Stamp
All waterfowl hunters 16 years of age or older must possess a valid Federal Duck Stamp.
Federal Duck Stamps can be purchased:
- Online through the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
- At most U.S. Post Offices
- Through many sporting goods retailers

Hunters must carry their Federal Duck Stamp and state license while hunting.
Hunters will fly into the nearest major airport to the hunting area in New England. Final travel instructions, meeting location, and hunt departure details will be provided by the outfitter prior to arrival.
If you fly to Manchester (MHT) regional airport we will provide RT transfers. If you fly into Boston, you will need to rent a car and drive to the lodge. You can also take an UBER from Boston to the Lodge.
Transportation to and from the hunting location will be coordinated with Randy Drago of Codfather Charters and your hosts Jim Riley and Craig Shumate.

- Hunt for the “Florida Big 3” waterfowl species — Mottled Ducks, Black-bellied Whistling Ducks, and the highly sought-after Fulvous Whistling Duck
Hunt a variety of private marshes, ranch swamps, and dairy reservoirs, giving hunters access to multiple habitats and consistent bird movement
Additional opportunities for Blue-winged Teal, Green-winged Teal, and Ring-necked Ducks to round out your daily bag
