From the Desk of Jim Riley

 April 22, 2026

May is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month for Team UWC. We will be spending much of the month hosting clients in Argentina and New Zealand, two destinations that consistently deliver outstanding hunting and unforgettable experiences. Time in the field with our clients is always valuable—not only because of the memories created, but because it allows us to stay closely connected with our partners and continue refining the hunts we offer.

As we look ahead to the upcoming seasons, there are several opportunities worth highlighting.

First, we have one final 2026 date available for our Kodiak, Alaska hunt, limited to just four hunters total. This is a unique opportunity to pursue classic sea duck species—including harlequins, scoters, long-tailed ducks, and other divers—with the option to add a Sitka Blacktail deer to create a true Alaska adventure. When this date is filled, our Kodiak schedule for 2026 will be complete.

We are also seeing strong interest in our NEW Yaqui Valley, Mexico Duck, Dove, and Quail Combo Hunt, with prime dates available from December 15 through March 15—the heart of the season when bird numbers and hunting conditions are typically at their best. This hunt stands out because it offers four full days of hunting, excellent accommodations, and the flexibility to pursue multiple species in one of Mexico’s most productive wingshooting regions.

Looking further ahead, we still have two openings remaining on our Laguna Madre hosted hunt in early 2027. This trip has become a favorite among our clients and continues to deliver consistent success year after year. If you have been considering joining us in Mexico, this is a great hunt to secure now while availability remains.

Finally, Craig and I will be traveling to Greenland in March and April of 2027 to pursue King Eiders and continue building what we believe will become one of the premier sea duck destinations in our lineup. These months represent the core spring window when birds are moving along the ice edge and hunting opportunities are at their peak in western Greenland.

We currently have spots available for hunters who want to be part of this Arctic adventure, and interest has been strong. It is truly one of the last great frontiers in waterfowl hunting, and we are excited about the long-term potential of this program.

As always, thank you for your continued trust in UWC Adventures. We take pride in putting in the time—traveling, scouting, and hosting—to ensure every hunt we offer is one you can book with confidence.

If any of these opportunities are on your radar, I encourage you to reach out soon.

The best trips tend to fill quickly, and we look forward to hunting with you in the field.
