Hunting snow geese during the spring conservation season on one of the best Nebraska spring snow goose hunts can be one of the most rewarding experiences you have ever done, or it can be a complete disaster… if it is not done properly.
At UWC Adventures we have one of the most exciting and fast action spring snow goose hunts around! This hunt is a total turn key operation. Upon arrival to the on-site hunting lodge located in SE Nebraska you will truly be amazed. The set-up is right in line with the main migration path north from the Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. The lodge overlooks a spread of over 1,500 full body snow goose and blue goose decoys and over 500 floater snows and blues. The entire set up is conducted over a flooded cornfield setting, out of a heated pit blind for added comfort and to ensure your success, all on private property.
This is a 3 day / 3 night Nebraska spring snow goose adventure. Once you arrive the night before the hunt everything is taken care- from your meals and lodging (on-site), to the transportation to and from the pit blind each morning on our 4 person Polaris Ranger, to the cleaning and preparation of ALL of your birds. After the hunt is over you simply head back to the lodge and get cleaned up for a delicious steak dinner and the guides take care of the rest.
On this hunt you can expect to see thousands and thousands of snow geese migrating through on most sunny days. These are our best days to hunt and past hunters have harvested upwards of 100 geese in a day but please don’t come with that expectation. Cloudy and rainy days that are not conducive to the birds migrating north can be slower, which is why we recommend our hunters coming for a minimum of 3 days. On a three day hunt you can expect one stellar day of lights out shooting, one average day of hunting and one slow day, when the migration is not on. The best dates to come are from February 20 – March 20 each spring. Your well behaved and trained dogs are more than welcome to join in on the fun. Groups of 6 hunters will get the pit to themselves. Heading out to Destination 5: Nebraska Spring Snow Goose, this was my first time using UWC Adventure’s services and I was not let down. With the electronic calls that were professionally recorded and the 2,000 plus decoys those white devils are instantly pulled down from up above in a fashion I had never seen before. them apart from the rest are the large heated blinds that even have electricity for those that can’t give up their phones for a day. Overall, hands down this was the best spring goose hunt I have ever been on and plan to head out in the following years for much more fun and memories.

Hunting the UWC Destination #5 – Nebraska Spring Snow Goose Hunt – was a fantastic experience!
Thousands upon thousands of geese worked our spread – over two thousand full body decoys – providing lots of shooting opportunities throughout the day.
The amenities were first class. Although it was in the twenties outside with winds up to twenty mph, we were very comfortable in the heated pit blinds.
The guides took good care of us, and did everything they
could to make our experience first rate-including breakfast and lunch in the blind!
We shot both quantity – over 100 geese one day – and quality – we brought home two trophy Blues for the taxidermist.
The Spring hunt was a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a way to extend their Fall hunting season, or as a way to shorten the off season.

The Nebraska Spring Snow hunt was my first trip with UWC Adventures and, I have to admit, that my expectations were low because I have been burned on so many other guided waterfowl hunts. It would soon become clear that my fears would be unjustified. Mike – my guide on this trip – was very friendly. I might add that, until this trip, I had never attempted a goose hunt before and the staff was very patient with a goose hunting neophyte (I am not accustomed to birds circling for 20 minutes before coming into range). The food and lodging provided on this hunt exceeded expectations and
the whole operation seemed very dedicated to making sure that I left with everything I had come for. In fact, I left with not one but two mount-worthy geese that are currently at taxidermy. I strongly recommend this hunt.
