This waterfowl hunting adventure is like no other, especially if you’re looking for one of the best Swan Hunting Guides in the United States! You will have the opportunity to harvest one of North America’s most incredible waterfowl species- the massive 18+ pound Tundra swan, wings cupped coming into the decoys none the less! This is an experience of a lifetime. On this hunt all of the swan hunting will be conducted over decoys on a feeder pothole / lakes in Central North Dakota. This hunt is a fully guided hunt over pre-scouted feeding ponds that have consistently been holding numerous swans prior to the day of your hunt. We limit our group sizes to a maximum of 4 hunters and for an upgrade fee, we can offer a private hunt for 2.
Once you have successfully harvested your trophy swan, the pressure is off and we can go enjoy some of North Dakota’s incredible field Mallard and Canada goose hunting. This is truly a World Class caliber field Mallard hunt. Expect large flocks of big northern Mallards in-Your-Face on this hunt! We hunt over large field spreads with spinner decoys and we ensure you are on “The X” during your entire hunt.
Your day will consist of a fully guided morning hunt for Swans / Mallards (Canada geese) and then a self guided pothole hunt in the afternoon while your guide scouts for the next days hunt. You will be given a private pothole to hunt with decoys and spinners. Your hunt also includes a sack field lunch and a hot dinner at the resort after a long day in the field. IMPORTANT NORTH DAKOTA TUNDRA SWAN TAG AND HUNTING INFO:
To successfully attain a North Dakota Tundra Swan tag, hunters need to apply online before August 15. The drawing will take place around August 27. There are a total of 2,200 swan tags available statewide. The tags have never sold out so everyone who applies will most likely be successful. All left over tags will go on sale in early September on a first come first serve basis until they are sold out. The Tundra Swan hunting season typically runs from October 1 – Jan. Each hunter is allowed 1 swan tag.

Like so many guys I dreaded having to apply to multiple states for a Swan tag. The guys at UWC have designed a great hunt with a grade A guide up in North Dakota. Your swan tag is almost guaranteed. The guides scout long and hard to put you on your birds. The day I harvested my swan will be a life long memory. The boat ride was 15 minutes, set up was 10, and then into the layout boat. No sooner had I got settled then a flock of 7 great white birds appeared in the distance. They had other ideas but as they passed in front of me I caught a flash of big white wings headed in to the spread.
This bird was on a mission and I hunkered down further into the boat, with my heart thundering in my chest. My goal for the entire trip was to take a swan with one shot. The bird finally passed the furthest decoy, about 20 yards out, before I rose up out of the boat. It couldn’t have presented a better shot. He broke to my left presenting a perfect vitals shot. My gun roared, water splashed, and big black feet kicked up into the air. What an absolute rush to harvest a North Dakota Tundra Swan out of a layout boat! The scouting was so good that I was in the layout boat a total of 20 minutes. If you’re serious about completing this challenge you have to head to North Dakota and experience a challenge like no other.

I was able to go on the Destination #2 North Dakota Decoying Swans and Divers hunt this past year with UWC Adventures. I had never been on a trophy bird hunt before and was very excited for the opportunity to hunt the Tundra Swans. The very first morning we saw several hundred swans and by the end of day one every single person had wrapped their tag around a trophy swan. If the hunt had ended there I would have been more than pleased with my experience, but on day two we went diver duck hunting and shot a six man limit of Blue Bills. This hunt truly had it all and I would highly recommend it
for anyone wanting a unique waterfowling experience.

What an amazing hunt and one to remember for a lifetime! We had swans flying overhead from the minute we had sunlight all the way till the sunset! All 7 hunters got their swan on the first day along with a hand full of different species of ducks. Can’t tell you how “easy” it felt to get my swan! These guys are the best around and will get you your trophy tundra swan!
