Each fall, this pristine coastal wilderness hosts staggering concentrations of Pacific Brant, sea ducks, and puddle ducks against a backdrop of volcanoes, tundra, and crashing surf.

For the passionate wingshooter, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hunt where migration history is made.

This 5-day premium adventure delivers an authentic Alaskan waterfowl experience few ever get to witness. Your trip includes five full days of guided hunting with our trusted UWC Adventures outfitting partner, who specializes in Brant and sea duck hunts across the Izembeck region.

THE HUNT:

Cold Bay is world-famous for its Pacific Brant — tens of thousands funnel through the Izembeck Lagoon each fall. Hunting here is as much a spectacle as it is a challenge. Expect fast-paced gunning over decoys from shore blinds and layout setups in prime feeding areas.
In addition to Brant, hunters often take Harlequin, Long-tailed Ducks, and a variety of puddle ducks — all while surrounded by Alaska’s untamed coastal beauty.

When conditions allow, you can also enjoy fantastic ptarmigan hunting, adding an upland twist to your Arctic adventure.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND CUISINE:

After an unforgettable day of Cold Bay waterfowl hunting, you’ll return to the comfort and warmth of our rustic Alaska hunting cabins, located just minutes from the world-famous Izembek National Wildlife Refuge. This is a small, family-run Alaska operation—deeply rooted in the region—who take great pride in welcoming UWC Adventures clients into their home and lifestyle.

Hunters stay in clean, cozy cabins that offer everything you need for a successful Cold Bay duck and Brant hunting adventure: heat, hot showers, comfortable beds, and a quiet place to gear up for the next day's hunt. Each evening you’ll be treated to home-cooked meals prepared by the outfitter’s wife.
